What to Expect With New Construction
Evaluation
Each new construction project begins with an evaluation of the blueprints and architectural plans to understand the roof design including pitch, structure, and materials.
Your roofing contractor will then assess the construction site and the building to ensure it’s ready for installation.
Recommendation
Your roofing contractor will discuss various roofing materials including asphalt or rubber shingles that align with your design, budget and local environmental considerations. Additional recommendations will then be made for insulation and ventilation systems crucial to the lifespan and performance of your roof.
An estimate of the time and cost will then be provided.
Construction
Once your quote has been approved, our team of certified professionals can get right to work.
The roofing area is prepared by installing any necessary underlayment, securing the roof deck and checking that the structure is ready for roofing materials.
The chosen roofing material is installed according to design specifications and local building codes. This includes shingles, where we use at least 6 nails in every one to protect them from lifting so they can better withstand the elements.
After construction is complete, a final inspection will be done to ensure the new roof meets quality and safety standards. We offer 15 year workmanship warranties as well as our Leave No Trace and Leak Free Guarantees, at Guns N Hoses we stand behind our quality products and service.

Can You Install Any Type Of Shingle?
Yes! We prefer to work with BP, Malarkey, Euroshield Recycled Rubber, and Ideal Metal, but we will happily install anything you’d like!

GNH was great from first phone call, to the quote, to the crew, to finished product, to job completion. I had 4 quotes done for my roof in total, and chose GNH for many reasons. The office and Keith was great to deal with, they answered all of my questions, and didn’t try to talk me into replacing the other half of my roof that didn’t need to be replaced. The quote I received was detailed, had different options, and was very affordable. The crew (Chase & Chris) showed up on time, were friendly, professional, and extremely respectful of my property. They even covered my plants so they wouldn’t get trampled on. They cleaned up each day before leaving, making sure there wasn’t any nails etc. left from tearing off the old shingles. I really don’t have a single negative thing to say. My new roof is quiet and there hasn’t been any flapping shingles even with the recent heavy winds.
